9/11 FIRST ANNIVERSARY
PHOTO RECORD: A SUNDAY IN SHANKSVILLE

If I couldn't be at Ground Zero on the First Anniversary of 9/11, I'm glad I made it to one of the crash sites. Shanksville, Pennsylvania is 2-1/2 hours from where I'm teaching this Fall. A temporary memorial was erected last year, and a permanent memorial slated for commemoration on September 11, 2002.
